In the Korean foundation year of 1983 and the 6th exhibition in 1988, the Japan Enamelling Artist Association made patronage presentation of their works, which resulted in a very honorable and brilliant exhibition. It is very auspicious and significant to create another exhibition with the Japan Enamelling Artist Association with whom we have kept a long term, friendly relationship.

The exhibition shows the individual, unique and various works from the contemporary enameling artists inspired by different cultures of the two countries. The works of 43 members from Korea and 37 members from Japan were presented at the exhibition. Some Japanese members paid an honorable visit to the opening. I sincerely hope the momentum of this interchange exhibition will be continued and escalated in order to achieve promotion and development of enameling art.
